A man was caught placing concrete boards on train tracks in the middle of the night by a police officer. The man was arrested promptly due to the threat it caused to the railway system.
The 46 year-old man was a local resident in Utsunomiya prefecture where the incident took place, and is a member of the Japan Self-Defense Forces. He was found placing a 1.5 meter x 10 cm (5ft x 4 in) concrete board on the train tracks, and was quoted that he placed them there as “the train was loud.” Upon further investigation it was made clear that he was also the culprit for a similar incident that took occurred earlier in the month.
As you can see in the above image, some houses are built quite close to trains. He could have moved to a quieter neighborhood or perhaps picked up some nice noise cancelling headphones, but sometimes relentless noise can make you do stupid things.
